STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY:

The school should guide the individual in the development of a personality capable of adjusting itself to the changing way of life in our American democracy and international conditions. Through this development and individual should be encouraged toward creativeness and should acquire certain basic skills, appreciations, attitudes, and fundamental truths which will serve as a foundation for present and future needs in solving his/her everyday problems.

The educational opportunity afforded to the student should allow for exploration into vocational education and also help the student to prepare for college entrance.

The educational opportunity must address the individual student's needs for the present as well as for the future. Emphasis shall be placed upon developing independent learning, research skills, and development of the student's self-esteem.

The school system needs the support of the community, and to do so open lines of communication must be maintained.

The community and the school expect its staff to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. In turn, the staff should be able to expect the community and school to provide them with the tools necessary to provide the best affordable educational opportunity for the students.

The school shall strive to provide educational activities which enhance the education process. The school system shall strive to provide the safest educational environment. Students shall be taught self-discipline. Self-discipline shall be an important asset for the student in his/her endeavors.
